Rock Band Johnny Cash coming in 2010?

I stumbled across the above link that features bands that have appeared in video games.

Got to the Johnny Cash section and noticed this :
Johnny Cash, Guitar Hero 5: After appearing in this game amongst other big music names and performing 'Ring of Fire', Johnny will also soon be getting his own game. Johnny Cash tribute artist Terry Lee Goffee has provided the movement for the legend’s motion-capture.

Doesn't mention if it is for Rock Band or Guitar Hero, but I thought I'd share :D

I thought activision said that there wouldn't be any band specific games in 2010 due to the failure of Van Halen?

they never said there was a failure with Van Halen,
Van Halen is not even in stores yet...

but either it be gh or rb i dont really care, i love band specific games
and thus far, i liked all band games from gh, aerosmith not so much because it was only guitar, and there was not enough Aerosmith though..

I'm a big Johnny Cash fan, but I really don't see how his music would lend itself to a music game. One, as music goes, it's not exactly Dream Theater in terms of challenge. Two, the market for a Johnny Cash game can't be very big.

Done right, a Johnny Cash music game could be very interesting. A colorful history for a man with a monochromatic wardrobe, not to mention having an absolutely absurd amount of released material to work from.

Also, later in his career he did a lot of interesting cover songs, could be curious to see what, if anything, is done with them (besides "Hurt", which everyone knows, of course... his cover of "Personal Jesus" comes to mind).

Yeah they are referring to the mocap done in Guitar Hero 5.

This will 'probably' be guitar hero, but it wouldn't be the first time that a 'guitar hero' star got the royal treatment in Rock Band (if it does happen that is).

Just said he's getting a game soon.

Could be Rock band, or (though not very likely), could be an entirely different company doing a Johnny Cash game.

Sounds like Guitar Hero is really starting to scrape the barrel.This, I expect this to fail badly. He doesn't have a large enough fan base who do music games and hes not the greatest guitarist in terms in technical stuff. I would have gone with Kiss over him. Stones 100% if they had the option.
Also why the hell can't they do dlc with him, we already can play as him and he doesn't have enough popular stuff to warrant a full game.

Oh, I know but it just doesn't sound like a RB game. While it's possible to get a Johnny Cash track pack like we did with AC/DC, they wouldn't be doing any mocap for a Cash avatar. So it sounds like a GH game to me.

While Johnny Cash certainly has a lot of material, he mainly has a lot of material that would all play almost exactly the same in a rhythm game. The quote doesn't specify that Johnny Cash is going to be getting a rhythm game. I'm thinking Johnny Cash FPS.
