guitar broken?

For some reason in the middle of playing a song the down strum on my guitar decided to not work. so now only up strumming works. Has this happened to anyone else? And is there a way I can send this back to Harmonix and get a new one free?

Yep,I got the same deal. My Star power hardly works either,I have to press the select Button Mid song to activate overdrive and I lose my streak. There is 2 ways to send back.
1.) You can give them a credit number and they'll send you a new guitar free of charge,and then you send back yours.(If you dont they charge $125.00) 2.) They send you an empty box,you put guitar in empty box,send back the box,wait for a new guitar to come.

Just bought our Rock Band last week. I mainly play the guitar, and I was pretty happy with the Fender so far. We had some friends over and we were all playing for a few hours, I was on guitar, and things seemed to be working fine. Didn't play yesterday, picked it up today to play some Solo but now the guitar double strums or registers a strum while I'm holding the bar down. I have to say, overall, the whole Magnet strum bar system has been nothing but trouble since it came out. I'd kill for them to just release a fender with a click bar.
