The XBOX 360 only has three USB ports. How will we use 2 guitars (wired), drums, and the mike? That is 4 ports. Anybody know?

I believe the guitars come in only wireless.

Any usb hub works just fine on the 360. You can plug one 4 port hub in and it will work just fine. Also the mic plugs into the headset jack on the 360 controller(so you can navigate the menus even if your only using a mic).

if someone has two gh controllers they dont really have to get the RB one right away......
so i dont know. a usb hub i guess but i'd just spend the extra dough for the guitar

Wrong.
360's support USB hubs, so the console not being able to handle all the peripherals is not an issue. I think the peripherals will be mixing and matching in terms of wired/wireless. If that isn't how it works, then I think the wired peripherals should all plug into the drum set, which then connects to the 360 console separately.

I also like that idea........considering the drums will always be stationary

I can almost guarantee the mic won't be wireless

Grace already confirmed on the Something Awful forums that the drum and the mic are wired only. You will be able to use either wired or wireless for guitar and bass.

3 USB ports?
where the **** is the 3rd one?
oh, and the mic plugs into the 360 controller... so if you have a wireless controller, theres no problem there...

It is on the back left of the console.
I am sad about the mike and drum not being wireless. Not because I care about dancing around but because one of the USB ports on my Xbox is broken.
Looks like either a hub or a new controller. Hmm.

lol
If that's true, then I'm patenting the ankle strap accessory that attaches your 360 controller to your leg while you rock out with the mic.

Ankle strap? Why wouldn't you just put the controller in your pocket?

He was joking. and you must have huge pockets to comfortably fit a 360 controller in there

I'm not going to have to worry about this, for my 4th controller I'll be using the GH III controller (for the bass) which is wireless, so 3 is more than enough for me. I think there shouldn't be too much problem with using all wired controllers since the mic plugs into the controller.

hmmm, wow, I never noticed the USB port above the Ethernet connection... COOL! now I can just plug my drums in there, and keep using the other two for my GH2 guitars...
I should eventually just get the badass Rock Band guitar, anyways... but this works for now...
