Dowload songs dont work..

Hi, my xbox got the red lights a time ago.. So i bought a new xbox, but I moved the old harddisk to the new xbox because i didnt want to lose all my saves and such..

But when I try to play the songs I've downloaded on RockBand 2 it doesnt work, it tells me that the song either is missing, or that its damaged.. BUT, if I am connected to Xbox Live then the songs work....

I tried to download all the songs again, but it still doesnt work without an internett connection...

What you're running into is the way that DLC is licensed on Xbox consoles. It is tied to the console on which it was originally purchased, and the gamertag that originally purchased it. If it cannot verify one, it must be able to verify by the other.

For example, if you're playing on a different console than the one on which it was purchased (like you are), it must be able to verify by your gamertag, which means you must be logged into XBL.

The good news is that Microsoft has released a tool where you can transfer the licenses of your DLC from your old broken 360 over to your new 360. You can do that here:
