weird drum problem

i was playing and all the sudden my bass stopped working. i checked the peddle itself and its fine and nothing is cracked or broken on it. its actually the 3.5mil headphone jack. it seems its somehow loose inside of the casing. if i hold it up the peddle works, but if i leave it as it sits the peddle doesnt work. anyone else have that problem?

Our pedal didn't work from jump out of the box today, I also noticed it seemed to be an issue with the jack. The pedal is not recognized when depressed, but if I jiggle the jack it will "play" a note sometimes.
