My wife and I are seeing a problem with what we feel the path through the game is laid out to be. At some point, the game tells you you need more fans to do XYZ, but you can't get any more fans unless your <insert band memer here> gets better at what they do. Now, I'm not trying to turn this into a discussion on fan caps. What I am trying to do is figure out what Harmonix has in mind for someone to be able to unlock every song in the game without making Band mode too hard to complete becuase of putting Train Kept a Rollin' in your starting city's pool of songs to choose from for it's random setlist when it's time to go back there and do it on Hard. Is the main idea to play through Solo mode, and Band mode is just a fun diversion?
Here's my main question: Am I missing something, or is it only possible to unlock all the songs by ultimately being able to play songs on expert? The answer I'm hoping for is that Band mode is a fun diversion, but Solo mode is how you get songs like, say, Cherub Rock (which seemingly can only be played, and thus unlocked, on Hard in Band mode)?
