Nub Nub question (About Xbox 360 Repair)

I was playing Halo 3:ODST today and my 360 red ringed on me (First time, and I've had this xbox for about 2 years now) and my question is, since I have no warranty, does any warranty get added on for the Red Ring?

Also, Right as I got my Red Ring, I immediately shut off my Box. Waited a few minutes and turned it back on and it was gone.

I remember it used to add 3 years to the warranty for the red ring, but I have no clue if they stopped that or not.

as for your question; i have no clue how the warranties work. When mine RROD'd on me i just bought a new Elite :D

Microsoft will fix any Xbox 360 that experiences a 3-Red-Light hardware error that is less than 3 years old free of charge. Call them. It may be working again now, but it likely won't take much longer to red-ring again.

Edit: You've got the time to look up the definition of "nub" in Urban-Dictionary, but you can't Google the Red-Ring info? Nice.
