Question about random set lists

so i had a question about random set lists.

say i have a group of friends who are sort of new to rock band, playing on easy and sometimes medium and we want to start a band. Keep in mind I've already played a solo career and unlocked all the songs already. Well these guys who are fairly new are now failing out of these wicked hard songs that come up in random set lists and we can never get past them. so finally my question. Is there any way to start a band from scratch and unlock the songs from scratch but keep the songs i've downloaded on my live account?

My understanding that unlocked songs are tied to characters. So if you create completely new guitarists, vocalist, and drummer who haven't been through solo tour or any BWT, you should be able to start from scratch.
