Guitar hero 3 guitars on Rock Band??

If you get Guitar hero 3 for Xbox 360, can you use the guitar hero guitar for Rock Band. Tell me all that you have heard.

Yes you can. GH2 controllers will also work, so for those just getting rock band we won;t need to by another controller. Very cool of HMX to allow that.

whoops, didn't mean that you couldn't use the guitars. I was just saying "or not" because of wikipedia not being a very reliable source (when it comes to soon to be released videogames).

All third person guitars. This has long since been confirmed.

the fact of the matter is this... if GH2 guitars work with Rock band... and Redoctane wants GH3 to be compatible with those guitars, it will most likely make the controls in GH3, and it's guitars all in the same way... the way the GH2 guitars work, is that they're all mapped to the actual face buttons on the controller... you can play almost ANY Xbox 360 game with a GH2 guitar...

Here's the rundown of what's what:
Green=A
Red=B
Yellow=Y
Blue=X
Orange=L-trigger (I think)
Strumbar up=L Analog up
Strumbar down=L Analog down
Start=Start
Select=Select
D-Pad=D-Pad
Whammy Bar=R Analog stick (I think)
Starpower= Right Trigger (I think)

you can figure this out by plugging in the GH2 guitar into your PC, and seeing what is the default map for the guitar controls

Harmonix has already confirmed that GH2 Guitars will work with Rock Band... so therefore, the controls for Rock Band will be the same as in GH2, and most likely the controls in GH3 will be the same as well... seeing how it would be the cheapest way to make new guitars for GH3...

so, not only will GH3 guitars work for both games, but Rock Band Guitars will also work for both...

Yea they work, Rock Band supports all 3rd party guitars, I plan on buying GH III with one guitar and using that guitar as my Bass when we play Rock Band

My GHII guitar is my bass and my sexy Stratocaster will be my guitar. I hate the Les Paul and I hate GH's even more. It looks too thick and their attempt at hiding the frets is a disaster.
