Instruments busted talking online

I put the black thing in my headset and put it in my drum or guitar didin't try mic yet. I can't hear anyone on the headset or talk to anyone I can only hear them on the t.v. and it makes a big screech noise. Has this happen to anybody? Please reply I need to talk online!!!!

What platform would you be playing on? I'm sure that would help us answer your question. As for myself I play on 360 with a wireless mic so i don't have to worry about that lol. But when others are involved, :(

I play on Xbox360 and I have the same problem, I use my Guitar Hero controller and I have no problems though. I think it has something to do with the crappy black converter thing.

Had some similiar problems myself. Make sure everything is snapped together tightly, because the connectors can take a bit of force to lock in.

I play it on the xbox 360 and i tried forcing it in almost to the point where i would break it!! I don't know what else to do!!
