Yes. I'm a Xmas noob to RB. Been waiting patiently and lurking every now and then.

What can I expect from Hardware with a sticker of OCtober 2007?

Bass pedal? Strat?

Are most of these prone to problems or just a few?

Thanks.

Looking forward to rockin' Offline 1st!!!

That's the date I have and just this week my strum bar started acting funny and my whammy bar broke. I've had no problems with any part of my drum set.

What's up with the strum bar? Is it that down strum thing?

How long have you had it for?

Glad to hear about the drums.

I guess if something breaks I have my Explorer to use for a while.

Thanks for the response.

The strum bar is not registering all upstrums and it takes much more force to get notes to register upstrumming then it does downstrumming. Which sucks because we use it as our bass and our bassist upstrums only.

I got it on release day in the states so I've had the game for about a month. I've been playing it 4-6 hours every day since I got it. So it's logged a lot of play time.

i have a october 7th set, my strat is still working fine, lucky i guess

however my bass pedal broke a few days after i got it, or rather cracked and i put a metal plate over it to prevent it from fully breaking, also my yellow pad quit working and my blue one was on its way, it cracked around the sensor pad, the new drum set seems much sturdier so i hope i dont that problem again.

and yes i played it quite a bit but was never abusive to it

Thx again. can't wait to open mine and start jammin, but gotta help the wife get ready for guests later and play Mickey Mouse Clubhouse with the little one.

My Oct 07 drums are still rocking with no problems (knock on wood) but my guitar is collecting dust. The strums don't register properly - up or down. I'm going to send it back in for a new one. Truth is, even if it was working, I'd likely still use my GH3 Les Paul or even the GH2 XPlorer. The RB Fender may look better, but the GH guitars are much more comfortable to play.

i have a launchday set and to date, i have had no problems (that i'm aware of). No strum problems (to my knowledge), i've always had a bit of difficulty with rapid chains of quick-strums in songs, so i dont know if its my (lack of) skill or an actual hardware issue--i generally down-strum most of the time except in the above case.
The guitar IS a bit ..'creaky', but it doesn't seem to effect game at all. Probably just need to tighten some of the screws somewhere, i'm just too lazy to go huntin for the screwdriver that's small enough for them.

Pedal is still intact, but i generally dont stomp the hell out of it like i've seen other folks do (and when i do see it I immediately think 'they're DEFINATELY not going to play on MY set, jeezus').

Anyway, despite what you see on the boards, problems are vastly a minority and NOT the majority; the nature of boards is its where most of the people WITH problems post them, you rarely see all the folks with NO problems posting.

Anyway, enjoy it, it's massive fun, and keep rockin.
