PS3 and Xbox drum kit pedals the same?

Hi there,
I own a PS3 with both the Rock Band and Guitar Hero full band bundles, but I recently purchased an Xbox so I could play online with more of my friends. I want to play Rock Band but I don't want to purchase either the full bundle or just the drum kit again. For a start I don't have room for a 3rd kit, and another thing is that the Xbox drum kit is over twice the price of the PS2/3 drum kit.
I think I've found the solution with the Madcatz Portable Drum Kit, however I've seen and read that the pedal on that is terrible. I've also seen that you can plug the RB pedal into it instead.
I was wondering if just the pedal on PS3 and Xbox drum kits was the same, and if my PS3 pedal would work on the Xbox Portable Kit?

Yes, and yes. The only things you can't mix pedal-wise is GH and RB pedals. GH pedals won't work on an RB kit, and RB pedals won't work on a GH kit. Aside from that, the pedals are not console-specific whatsoever.
