HELP!!! My PS2 isn't recongizing the game!!!

My PS2, for some reason, isn't rocongizing the game, but I put DDr in there and it recongizes that, after a few times, but I've been messing with this for a while and it still won't work!!

I know this is a silly question but, You aren't trying to play the PS3 game in a PS2 are you?

my ps2 isn't recognizes either...it says no data....rading disc....and it is a ps2 game......can anyone help?

hmm...how old is your PS2? i heard the PS2 version is dual layer, and some older PS2s cant run dual layer discs.
