I mistakenly and out of desperation ordered the Triple Cymbal kit for Rock Band drums without a research before to see if they would work on my Rock Band 1 drum set. Apparently, it doesnt...but im wondering, since there is always a way, is there some kind of device i can buy to make it work? or any other way?
Help would be very much appreaciated as soon as posible since i ordered it with the 1-3 day shipping =/

Two choices:
1) Splice the wires from the drums to your cymbals. This has been done before.
2) Buy a RB2 kit (if you can find one). Trust me, the RB2 kit is far superior to it's predecessor.

No problem.
If I may, I would also recommend picking up a set of the official drum silencers. They don't really do much to quiet them down, but they will keep the rubber from bubbling up.
I padded the crap out of my kit to keep that from happening as well as my cymbals. You think the drums are loud? The cymbal make them sound like a mouse-fart by comparison.
Here is what I did initially: http://www.rockband.com/img/2828674/422
After that, I got the official pads. When you put them on your kit, they cover the entire head and the silver border. I wasn't thrilled about that, so I measured and cut them down to fit inside the rim. That left me with 4 crescent shaped pads which I added to the edge of my cymbals. No loss of sensitivity, and they were dead quiet. This isn't the best view, but this is what my kit looked like before I got my good-woods: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wgq0JkmkZfo
Hope any of that helps. :)

Hey,
Those kits look nice! I was thinking about buying the pads cause I read about the incredible noise the cymbals make...so yeah, thanks for your help! I'll try to get both the drum set and the pads by this week since the cymbals will be here by friday... and I heard those good wood mods are good so I'll check them out.
Thanks again :D
Btw, your signature cracks me up.
