Please Forgive a dumb question

I just got the game for PS3 for xmas yesterday and have about 14 songs to begin the game with. Other than waiting for weekly downloads from the PS store, how can I go about getting additional songs. Some the other songs from Kiss, REM or Chili Peppers I can't seem to find. :(

Play through a solo tour. Not quickplay.
Or, if you have the people around, play through the Band World Tour.

You will unlock songs through both.
If you play on at least medium on any instrument, you will get all of the songs on the disc unlocked.

Play through a solo career. Once you unlock a new tier you'll get those songs in BWT and quickplay.

Man, one recommendation is...just to have patience. I JUST unlocked "Enter Sandman" via the Solo Tour and I've had the game for over a month. It's not that I sucked it's just you have so much fun playing with other people that many times, "personal goals take a backseat to the team" ;)
