mic help

I just got my rock band and my guitar and drums work fine, but I try to play my mic, but I cant. Its says plug it in and I did. So either it doesnt work or i am plugging it in wrong. help

RTFM. Plug a standard xbox/ps3/ps2 controller in to use the mic.

You must turn on an xbox controller. the mic is tied to one of the regular controllers so if you don't have one turned on, even though you have the mic plugged in, the game wont recognize it. turn on the controller and use the green button to select the microphone in the game.

(The manual is a great thing to read before you start playing the game....Or you can read the sticky at the top of this forum which has the answer to your microphone issues......;)
