4 weeks in and my first problem. My Rock Band 2 drums will just stop syncing with the adapter, I'm not the drummer but I will look up at adapter as my friend is playing drums and it is flashing but the lights on the drums are solid. I have tried using a different usb port, changing the batteries, and even putting a piece of cardboard in between the batteries and the door. Anybody have any suggestions on what this might be and how do I fix it?

I'm not sure about this. The same issue was discussed here in this post:

I've been having the same issue. It only seems to happen in certain songs for me. For example, every time I've played "Eye of the Tiger", it seems to happen about 30 seconds in. I have to press the ps3 button on the controller and then turn off/on the drumset to resync it.

As a follow-up, I think this is simply an issue oft he batteries getting jarred loose. I put a folder paper towel betwen the batteries and the cover and didn't have the problem again.

Just a quick update on my end, the cardboard started working Thursday but now the drums just stop synching, the lights and the ps button flash randomly. EA thinks its an adapter problem so I working with them about it and hopefully I can get this fixed soon. So much for a Rock Band Christmas party though.

Just throwing this out there, do you have fresh batteries in the drums?

Yes, actually when the drums messed up last night I ran to walmart in the ice and snow and bought some but the drums are still screwing up.

In that case, sorry about the christmas party. EA is your best route at this point.
