RB Fender Stratocaster only strums lefty

I am not sure where to post this so I decided to make a new thread sorry... I have a RB Fender Stratocaster that just decided it will only recognize the strum if you play it lefty (it will only recognize the strum one way)... everything else on the guitar work .. Does anyone know whats going on with my guitar and can it be fixed?? I really do not want to purchase another new guitar.. :confused:
