Microphone Issues (NOT RECOGNISION ISSIUES)

OK so i got Rock Band for Christamas Im like WOOT... WRONG!!!! i sung for 1 song then the next song it just stoped working... my 360 knows its there but it doesnt work... the pitch arrow isnt there even when i yell into the damn thing... idk whats wrong with it but i would REALLLY appriciate any answers... i dont want to get a replacement from all the **** im reading and how it takes like forever to get back. but anyone with answers please help me out... I also just got rock band for christmas....after hearing about how many problem it was having i was a little nervous but still got it.....everything that came with it works except for the mic....my 360 doesn't even say that i have it connected:confused::confused:...the only way i can sing is using my 360 controller and the mic that you use for xbox live....the drums and the guitar work fine...so far

We got ours for xmas and we are having the same 'mic not recognized'. I called our neighbors, who also got for xmas today and they are having the same issue. Early adopters, please help!

Uhhhh, the first thing I did was go to EA support and followed the mic troubleshooting steps, which is where the info in the sticky came from. Hence the reason for this post!

Update: I overlooked the fact that the wireless controller had to be turned on. This solved my issue. Thanks!

No Guys... i plug the mic in... turn the controller on.. thats all good it says im plugged in.. when i sing it doesnt say im singing... like the mics broken.. i hit it against everything it doesnt work... i am plugged in tho

Plug the mic into your computer and see if you can record anything with it. If not, then it is definitely busted.

Keebler.. i tried that it was recognized on my PC but it wouldnt record so i think it is busted.. but i dont want to wait forever to get it back lol
