Is there any way to download purchased Rockband songs to my computer then transfer them to the Wii? I do not have the console hooked up to my LAN, and I would prefer NOT to hook it up if I don't absolutely have to. Thanks for any info you can supply on this.

There is not. The only way to purchase songs for RB2 on the Wii is to load up the game and use the in-game Music Store.
