I got rockband for christmas today and couldn't find the usb hub that I thought came with it. Did I just overlook it or what? I gotta have it because only one of my usb ports works on my ps3.

As far as I know, the hub is only Xbox only, since the PS3 by default has enough ports to hold all the instruments.

I'm assuming they do not come with one as I did not have one either. They are cheap enough to buy, less than 10 dollars at best buy.

It only comes with one for the 360. You're **** outta luck...

The PS3 bundle assumes you didn't buy the crappy 40 gig PS3. I believe the bundles were put together before the 40 gig was actually available (the stickers on the bottom of the boxes normally say October something), which is why there was no need for a USB hub (everything else has 4 ports).

I think the lesson here is don't ever buy the crippled version of any console, because you'll end up paying more in upgrades that you saved. Sorry, but that's the best answer I can give. That being said, USB hubs are pretty cheap.

That's unfortunate. But in a case like that, yeah, you'll just need to go out and buy a separate hub. The PS2 version of Rock Band comes with a hub, the PS3 version was cobbled together with an early assumption that consoles would be 60 and 80GB models with all four ports working. That's bad luck that you only have one working port, sorry to hear that, this is the ONE game where you'll make the most out of all four ports.

Wow, I can't believe I missed that detail. I am such a n00b.

You could try to call Sony, and see how much it would cost to fix it then. If it's cheaper than $25, I'd say go for it, since that's how much the hub costs alone. Sucks that only one port works :/.

No way a hub runs ya 25 bucks unless you want some severe top of the line, even a 4 port USB 2.0 only runs 10 bucks, but you dont even need 2.0. This USB port is 5 bucks on newegg.

$150 to repair a PS3... you could buy an awful lot of USB hubs for that much cash!

The responses are correct. A USB hub is only packaged with the 360 SKU.
