Who else thinks playing these stupid rock endings are alot less fun than just playing the fun ending the way its meant to. It kinda makes sense on drums, in a way, but on guitar you're just randomly hitting notes and strumming as fast as possible rather than going through a fun and fast ho/po solo section. Honestly... :(

...just you I guess. jk

Everyone I play with loves them...you just need to FREAK OUT during that part...it's fun! ;)

the idea of a big rock ending is that it's mostly improvised. It's just not technically possible to do that with the guitar and bass lines.

The solo frets are there for a good reason ;)

Try doing a power slide while finger tapping them like mad on big rock finishes and tell me that's not fun.

They are fun but would be way more if it actually played what you did on guitar instead of a set track when you can just tap one button and go through an intricate solo.

What I like is that it forces the entire band to play perfectly for the 1-5 notes after the ending. If someone misses just one note, the whole thing is blown, and nothing is more fun than shunning your friend for messing that up :D

This is the only interesting part to the endings but it probably could have been handled better (as in, like blue solo like sections percentage bonuses for bass and guitar, and no bonus for messing up). Either that or nothing at all. Not much could be done at this point, but for later DLC I don't wanna ruin fun and tricky solos for the sake of these.

Otherwise it's just random and lame. Especially if you listen to the guitar endings for Foreplay/Long Time, Green Grass and High Tides, and Flirtin' with Disaster and how it would actually be fun to play those rather than going nuts for no reason.

Oh, and I use the Les Paul or X-Plorer, because honestly, the Fender is not the best peice of equipment.

This.

My Fender is great, but granted, it's the replacement for the original that came in my bundle.

If I'm playing bass, I'll usually use the Les Paul cause there's no need for the solo buttons. But if I'm playing guitar, it's the Strat every time.

No.... Overall, not too great.

One at best buy, broken strummer. I think at every best buy broken strummer.

First one I got: Broken strummer.

Still have an unopened Fender and one that I never use because the frets don't feel right and the strummer doesn't feel right, not to mention prone to breakage.

(Oh yeah, and off-topic=win)

When I had a functioning strat (RMA began 12/3, still waiting for replacement) I prefer that to the others. The neck is rounder so I don't get cramps as easily as I do with the other guitars and the almost flat button run is great for quick passages and the solo buttons are fun to play with, but shine in the big rock ending.

It's a lot of fun to bang or strum like an idiot for a minute, especially when you've made it through a really tough song and want to celebrate by going crazy. BRT is one thing these guys did right and I wouldn't change it for the world.

I think is more enjoyable.

And...Its sorta like playing a live show, so I'm ok with that.

I think the Big Rock Ending is mostly a goof. A chance to fiddle around randomly and make funny faces while the crazy crashing noise plays.

I think it was done because even though a recorded Big Rock Ending sounds the same every time, it's supposed to give you an air of randomness that exists when you perform something live--it's the only part of a typical rock song that feels at all improvised.

And just to add to the delicious off-topic goodness, my fully-functional Strat (which took me two tries to get) is the very best guitar controller I've used with one of these games, and I've tried five different models.

The big rock endings DO suck

The guitar solo parts in big rock endings ALWAYS sound the same no matter which buttons you push in whatever order and speed it ALWAYS sounds the same

The drums part isn't any fun cause the drums have 5 preset noises and you can't make a big ending that truly fits the song because of it

I like big rock endings, and the whole drum fills for overdrive. I find them quite fun o.O;

I happen to enjoy them a lot, its cool to have something in the game that you don't have to follow by the book, you and do what you want how you want...especially on the drums...

The only time I dont like them is when I am playing with someone who sucks at playing the guitar and has no rhythm or creativeness whats-so-ver. You can pretty much do anything on the drums and still sound cool but some people I play with just suck at thinking of what to play on the guitar, thats the only reason I wouldnt like it.

IDK what you're talking about, but Ampharos is the ****. Kadabra is by far the best there is but this guy is definitely the coolest.

Anyway, just to put how I feel about this out there, anybody who plays expert and can do decent, think about at the end of Push Push (Lady Lightning) at the end wankery and how it is pretty fun to play. Instead of that though, you sit there flipping the stummer as fast as you can tapping random buttons (or sliding the finger across the solo buttons). Which one would you honestly rather do?

An alternative to this to keep that end bonus thing, which is the only amusing part to the idea where you have to get everybody to hit the last few, is let drummer go nuts, guitarist/bassist has it as "solo" where bonus points for %, what have you and you only get bonus if everybody hits last note. Just a thought, but it makes more sense.
