Not sure if this is supposed to happen... (drum kit)

When I got the drum kit outta the box -- earlier today -- the part where the pad connects with the circular part, (don't know what it's called) was actually coming off. I could see the foam inside. Is this supposed to happen? If not, any solutions to this? I don't think it's right, b/c some of the pads won't register all the time; especially the snare.

There are 4 rubber stoppers that keep the pad attached to the unit. Make sure they are securely pushed in to keep the pad connected.

If they are and the drums still act up, I would go through the warranty process.
