I wanna restart my game, but wanna keep the songs I have purchased from the music store. I'm not sure exactly what the Rockband 2 DLC "pay and play" files do though. Can I safely delete them (in order to completely restart my game) along with the "save data" file while keeping all the songs I have previously purchased?

Why not just create a new band, rather than go to the trouble of deleting everything, then having to download the songs again?

Because my save file was corrupted and it all restarted on it's on, but the downloaded songs from the previous save file are still taking up ALL the space on my SD card (though it doesn't show from the Wii menu).
That's why I wanted to know if I could just delete all the files to restart and keep my purchased songs.

The "Pay and Play" files on your Wii are the files showing the game what songs you have purchased the licenses for. If you delete those, you will likely have to re-pay to download any DLC you have already purchased. Do not delete anything on the Wii. If you need to, put your SD card in a computer or a camera and re-format it. When my save file corrupted I had the same issue. I just reformatted my SD card and re downloaded all my songs.

You should never have to pay for something you want to download again. All the songs you bought should remain purchased in the store, regardless of what you have on your console. I know it works this way on the PS3 and XBox and I'm quite sure it's the same on the Wii.
