Classic Florida death metal album released in 1990. Obituary has been around for over 20 years and still to this day retain much of their sound. Their music was a slow methodic groove death metal sound. This album saw a change in their lead guitarist to a vastly underrated James Murphy, a true guitar god. He added a lot of melody in his highly technical and clean sounding solos, which by far makes this album a clear cut above the rest (though their latest release saw another new lead guitarist, a Ralph Santolla, who in my opinion sounds better then their original lead guitarist Allen West). Almost every track on this album is killer with great pacing and awesome solos, there isnt a "bad" track on the entire CD and to this day the album receives much play on my machines.

Anyways, done with the mini-review. While I know no one in their right mind that would like to sing Obituary, the guitar work would be absolutely fun albeit amazingly challenging. The drums would be fun also even though possibly less forgiving. Singing would be rougher then I think it would be, but we'd finally get to know what hes really singing.
