Hi, how good are the instruments and how well do they hold up? I am buying the ps2 bundle for now until I eventually get a ps3. I am new to this type of gaming. I have seen here and there about the drum pedel messing up in the first batches. Do the drums hold up well and is the guitar any good? I would go the route of gh3, but I know these instuments will work when I get the ps3 next month. Any info would be greatly appreciated. I don't want to spend all that money and have major headaches if those instruments don't last.

The PS2 and PS3 versions both use the same instruments, so if you were to buy the PS2 version now, all you'd need is the game itself when you get a PS3. It's still not cheap, though, but it's your decision. Also, the PS2 bundles should be fine, since it was the first shipment mostly that had problems, and the PS2 version came later.

So nobody is having problems at all anymore? If I do run into problems are the customer sevice and replacing product good? I know the ps3 version is way better. However, I want to get a bundle tomorrow thats being held for me and rock out with the kids as I won't get a new system until next month. GH3 is cool with a great soundtrack, but so many say how hard the difficulty is. Rock Band has almost as good of a track list and I can also rock out with my sons. I just wish there was Slayer found in here, but we can't have everything.

I'm getting a 2nd replacement guitar this week. Both of them had the crappy metal contact strummer, so I'm hoping I get the magnet one this time around since people seem to say they're awesome.
Also, after one month of solid abuse (I live in a house with 17 other musicians at my school), my drum pedal finally snapped in half, so I'm waiting for that to come in.
I got the Oct. 8th PS3 bundle, I believe.

P.S. The mic is still awesome.

Getting a good set of instuments without having to get a single replacement is about as likely as winning the lottery.

Are they good about replacing anything if it breaks?

I've done the standard return thing since I don't have a credit card or $125 in my debit card, and it goes pretty quick (for an RMA at least). 2 days to get the box, 3-4 days to get the broken thing back to the company, 2 days to get the new one (7-8 days total).
The expedited return just takes 2 days to get your new instrument, which is sweet.
