Need help with mic.

when ever i go to play on quickplay and im playing my guitar and my headset is plugged in and i get nothing.like i cant talk at all.i have made sure every thing is plugged in enough.please help

I'm having the same problem on the Xbox. The headset allows me to talk and hear when I plug it into my GH3 guitar in RockBand but using the adapters for RB Drums and Guitar I can't hear or talk.
