Hello all -

After trucking through various locales with my death metal band Protazoa, I started wondering - where is everyone getting their name for the band from?

Mine comes from a rather obscure Disney Channel movie from the early 90s-

Your turn.

Rocko's Modern Band is the nickname that our drummer used to refer to the game itself. Then we used it as our band name.

Our band's name is Moop, but I'm not telling you where it came from because you're probably not cool enough.

If you get the reference, then you are cool enough.

Our band name in The Oppressors and the main inspiration for our band is for the holocaust that occurred in Europe some 60 odd years ago.

My band is Post Iceberg, which is just me and my brother, and I figured with the way we play, we'd go down faster than the Titanic did after it hit the iceberg, so that's what I went with.

My wife and I's first band was Absinthe of Malice. Not sure it came from anywhere other than the paly on words. However that was started with a drummer, and we quickly ran into fan cap troubles. :(

We then started The Grunting Pugs so we could use guitars and have been rocking steady since. We have a pug, so it was a pretty basic origin actually. :p

just started thinking of random phrases or sayings and my friend's little brother blurted out "I Hate Mondays" and we thought that was a cool band name.

My band is called "Wesuk".... pronounced "We Suck"....

If I had to say I got the idea from anywhere, it would be from Primus. Anyone who is a serious Primus fan would know that saying "Primus Sucks" is a term of endearment fot them... They used to start every show saying "We're Primus and we suck"...

The band is pretty much just me, I live out in the boonies and most people I know don't play this game, the ones that do are too far away to do BWT on a regular basis.. So I ended up having to do the two instruments at once thing to play BWT.

well, the band name i've used for every guitar hero game was your mother, but since it wasn't "classy," i had to come up with something else.

as luck would have it, i was listening to queen, and it came to me: seaside rendezvous.

it's an interlude on their album "a night at the opera."

my band is The Autistic Chainsaws... don't know how we came up with it, but I know we rock hard enough to be autistic!

My wife's and my first band is "Your Mom", mostly because our then-two year old kept saying "Your mom goes to college" after she found a Napoleon Dynamite keychain that said the phrase when you pushed a button.

Epistemological Anarchy came from my old teacher. If I said something wierd, that's what he called it.

4-Man Raid, well, we've got a characters named, "Tanker", "Heal-Bot", "Danny PasS" and "Squishy", so there you go.

Bookbag Heroes is my Bass/Vocal career. I carry my Rock Band stuff in a large backpack and people called me a "Bookbag Hero" cause of me carrying a Guitar Hero XPlorer, so I just went with that.

One of mine is my new account name, Aero Zeppelin Sevenfold, because those bands combined would be awesome. Aero Zeppelin is a song name i found in the nirvana best of the box CD. it doesn't have the song on thier, but i thought it was a cool name. i reqeusted it as our band name, and my friends wouldnt allow it unless i included Avenged Sevenfold. (shame on me)

My housemates and I have a 4-person band named "The Gingival Sulcus". We're all medical students, so really it's kind of a nerdy thing to do, but we found it entertaining and stuck with it.

I think i've probibly got the most obscure:

"The Optisparks", which is the name of the distributor in General Motors's LT1 engine made from 1992 to 1996, known for breaking.

All but one of us drive this magnificent V8.

My band is "Large Hassy", named for the lifesaving beverage of choice in the classic Dreamcast action-adventure title, BLUE STINGER.

My band name is

Sir Fatty and the Dingleberrys

I am what some people would call overwieght, so I am Sir Fatty. The Dingleberrys come from the fact that it is my band and I will play with whatever dingleberry that wants to join. Plus, I think it is a funny word.

The Cosby Sweaters was pretty straightforward. Getting Cockroach to play drums, THAT was the tough part.
