“Pre-listen”- 5 out of 5.
I love Three Days Grace’s albums Three Days Grace and One-X so, I am instantly giving their new album the best possible score to begin with.

This album sounds a little too… I don’t know, maybe commercial? Too mainstream? The one big flaw in the album is that there isn’t too many “deep cuts” like the first two albums had. For example, my favorite song off One-X was Time of Dying, and Life Starts Now doesn’t have a song like Time of Dying which wasn’t popular, but sounded great. Songs like Break, Lost in You and The Good Life, as much as they sound good, they sound more like other songs, so they will be popular. The only real deep cut I can find is Bully. And *maybe* Bitter Taste? Which, don’t get me wrong, they are great songs but won’t be as popular as the ones I stated before. This could be disastrous for people like me who love Three Days Grace but don’t like their mainstream as much as their “fillers”. But even with the fact that most of the music sounds like they were shooting for the charts, I still love it. Great album.
*NOTE: THIS IS MY OPINION, NOT SOMETHING YOU COULD REALLY ARGUE. JUST PUTTING THAT OUT THERE :)*
