Access to kick pedal jack?

My pedal has stopped working on my RB2 kit. I still have my RB1 kit and the pedal works when attached to it, so I'm thinking it's the kick pedal jack on the RB2 kit.

How do I get at the kick pedal jack? I removed the main compartment/battery area but the kick jack is still covered up.

Try the RB1 pedal in the RB2 kit and vice versa. That'll tell you if it's the pedal or the kit.

it's the kit. i'm trying to bust it open and see if i can fix/replace it. i just don't know how to open/access that area.
