I used to use Drumbot for backing tracks, but then I discovered Guitar Pro and found that easier to use. It's a fun program to play around with though.

You can get much better results with MIDI and a decent soft synth or sampler than you can with free loops.

Though it is fun to mess around with for a little while.

@Mega-Tallica: Yeah, I use Guitar Pro to write, too. I found that mixing their RSE for snare, toms, and cymbals with the MS Wavesynth (I think? Don't look too often, can't be sure of a name) for kicks. Sounds pretty good, IMO, and with some compression and EQ can come out sounding almost like I actually know what I'm doing. :D
