Suggest voice changer 3 guitars available and most importantly a drum set with a snare and two tom setup in a triangle and two or three symbol but most important sturdier pedals that are double bass

Wich would make it so the drums we've already got won't work with RB 2 wich causes a riot. :p

I agree with Eman. Just release some metal DLC. The instrument setup is fine how it is. Maybe they can just replace Bass with Rhythm on some metal songs where the bass is hardly noticeable.

ok so maybe not completely new set but at least add an option for double pedals and with out a doubt make it much more durable does that make you all happy the old one is still compatible and the new one is better but they do need a "metal band" or atleast some decent metal music prefer lamb of god but anything that is heavy metal death metal(prefer melodic) or metalcore would work and they definitely need to make a third guitar available to many metal and good death metal bands never run with less than two and even then they try to get a guest guitarist

i do think more is needed in the drums The Drum Mania set up seems to work well Two toms side by side two cymbals one on the left and and one on the right a bass pedal and the snare nearest the player

I really don't see them focusing on an all-metal version of this game. The purpose here was to make a game that would appeal to as many people as possible, which was easy to do since GH has been taking a metal turn with each new edition.

My suggestion is that you diversify your musical experiences and see if your musical tastes don't diversify along with them.

Too niche. HMX would not profit from it. They know to make a profit they have to appeal to a broad demographic with disposable income - and most of those types have grown up and listen to more than metal.

i swear if i see one more thread with the words "Rock", "Band" and the number "2" in the title, im gonna stab the next person i see. Seriously, no wonder EA make a new version of their games like every week...its because you all give them ideas that they can let that slide...wait a couple months please... :| before we end up with "Rock Band: 2008"

This thread is proof that metal destroys brain cells.

I listen to mostly non-metal with acknowledgment that metal adds to the rich tapestry that is the collective pool of popular music. Why can't metal fans return the favor?

One of the major points of Rock Band is that the need for flavored versions is done now that Rock Band is a platform and not just a game.

More flexibility in the instruments could be a major selling point but Rock Band 1 does metal just fine right now.

Lots of improvements/changes/enhancements can be made to RB1. No need for RB2 any year soon.

the ultimate sequel: mariachi band. guitar, vox, trumpet/tuba (like guitar/bass) and maraccas ala samba de amigo. probably a limited market, though.

As usual, this one person on this one forum does not represent an entire group of fans, stop trying to generalise everyone that listens to metal into one stereotype.
The only common flaw of the general metalhead is a tendency to be a little bit elitist about their music in relation to all others (even within the genre). Still, it doesn't mean we don't also like/listen to other genres, such as blues, jazz, rock, rap, etc and enjoy/praise them.

Obviously, making a game tailored to one music genre is not going to make much money other than as an expansion with no new features. Rock Band works as it is, just leave it alone. In fact, Harmonix' choice of music in all their games is excellent and I don't see any need to make any changes to it.

Lots of improvements/changes/enhancements can be made to any game, but that doesn't change anything.

If EA were calling the shots, we'd have a new version every year. That said, I know I'd still buy it, provided all the hardware's compatible.

Not me. If I end up with RB1 and say 120 downloaded songs, I sure the hell wouldn't want to start all over with a new version of the game. UNLESS the DLC is compatible.

No argument there. Being in Australia I haven't had the chance to purchase any of the DLC yet, but I'd hope it'd all roll over when buying the sequel. It'd also be nice if the originals tracks carried over, or if we could at least buy them at a reduced rate.

Only thing I want is maybe they can MAKE a double bass pedal to be sold seperately, that would add to the 'metal' feel.

No. Need sax controller!

(I also wouldn't mind a hookup for a MIDI keyboard.)

First off we're not stupid you ignorant buffoon. All those "metal destroys brian cells" garbage is just a bunch of people trying to get their name in the paper its all bs, and non of it has any real scientific backing. I don't even believe people who say it encourages brain growth so don't give me any statistic bs.

Any ways we just prefer our type of music, exactly like you do. And the music in rock band is 70's and 80's metal i personally like metalcore which wasn't even created until late 1994 and didn't get popular until 00's so as you can see there is something lacking in my perspective

But honestly don't be ignorant enough to think that your culture is better than any other particular culture its not so get over it. Even nerds who tend to be stereo typed as smart have idiots in their groups.

Who about "Blue Grass Band" ...sarc
Shorten the neck of the guitar and make it a banjo
Tilt is sideway and make it a steel guitar.
