Rockband 2 guitar

i just got my rockband 2 yesterday, and the guitar doesnt seem to work, when i press the green button it goes back, instead of accepting or whatever. please help ):

Which system, which guitar, is your game updated to the latest patch?

ps3, rb2 guitar, and i yes, my games automatically update so i guess it has the latest patch. i want to know if there is something i can do before sending it back to EA

I have the exact same problem with wii rock band 2. You can not join band because the green button just takes you back to the previous screen. My Wii also updated when I started the game for the first time. I took the guitar completly apart to check for some sort of hard mechanical problem, couldn't find a thing wrong. I called the waranty number, and they are sending me a new guitar, no questions asked, except my adress, name and email. I really hate when things don't work, especially when they were a Christmas present.

You may have done this already, but your best bet would be to do an RMA with EA.
