Guitar for TB:RB Wii not staying on

I plug it in, press the sync buttons, and it comes on, but it will not stay on. I can only use it for less than a minute before it disconnects itself, then a few seconds later it will reconnect. Is this a problem with the USB plug?

It could be a usb power issue, if there's not enough to go around the dongle may cut out. A powered usb hub can help this situation out, if that's in fact what is the problem. Does the guitar work on it's own (nothing else plugged in)?

Also make sure you have fresh batteries in your guitar.

Yeah, the guitar is fine. I tried to different sets of batteries, everything was the same. Blue lights flashed on the guitar, and it did connect for a few moments, then disconnected (blue lights started flashing again).

So if it is a USB issue, how should I fix it? Or will it be better to just get a new one?

If you're still in warranty you'd be best to RMA it with EA.

I'm new to the RB stuff and am having trouble with the drums not snycing. I think I trouble shot everything, lights just blink. Having no problem with mic or guitar.

Your best bet would be to do a warranty return with EA. Start with the link I provided above.
