Cannot connect peripherals for the first time

Hello,

I received 'The Beatles Rock Band' as a Christmas present and was eager to set it up and play. I have assembled the guitar and drums, and have connected them all together using the four-way USB adaptor.

However when I come to try and sync them to the xbox, the green lights around the 'X' on the guitar dont light up. I have tried disconnecting the Xbox Controller first but still get the same result - no connectivity.

Here is how I have wired the controllers together:

Guitar controller - wired into the four-way USB adaptor - four way USB adaptor plugged into mains using mains adaptor supplied and plugged into FRONT of Xbox console

I have put batteries in the guitar controller. If anyone can be of any help, I will be very grateful.

Ive sorted the problem out thanks to my neighbour. Turns out the problem was a faulty 4-way USB hub and a faulty USB port in the front of the Xbox.
