Some Help please

hey rock band users
I have Guitar Hero World Tour, but I decided to buy Rock Band today and I did it, but i'm facing a problem which is tiring me!
I have the Guitar Hero's guitar and when I start Rock Band I can control my menu bar but my guitar is "assumed" as a microphone and I cannot start playing ( obviously I also cannot sing --') It says in Quickplay " No microphone has been detected. Please connect a microphone to play this game mode as a vocalist "
I've tried everything but I cannot solve this problem!
I hope you may help me solving this mysterious case

I remember hearing about this problem, but I never had it so I don't know the solution, sorry.

Maybe while you're waiting for more knowledgeable people to answer, you could do a search of the forums, because I do remember seeing threads about this in the past.

Are you on the wii? the Guitar Hero World Tour instruments don't work on Rock Band 1 on the wii.
Rock Band 2 works with those instruments though, if I recall correctly.

Yep, that's correct.

On the PS3, you have to have your console connected to the Internet so that it can download the latest game patch for Rock Band. Without that, you won't be able to use a Guitar Hero guitar.
