We have our Xbox 360 connected to a Mitsubishi HDTV DLP TV.
It is connected to a Bose 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround System.
I ran the auto calibration for DLP and the vocal and guitar sound fine.
When we run the drum tutorial we can hear the notes and see them on the screen as they are hit.
However, when a song is playing and the drums are used, the drum note can only be seen and not heard when the drum note is hit. When the drum stick or button is used when a note crosses the bar, it is activated but we can not hear the drum note. I have also tried a diffrent USB port and the same thing occurs.
Is there something that needs to be done in for the drums to work in the song?

Try calibrating the lag of your TV.

It may be due to the Surround Sound setup. Same as me, except with guitar.
When I use the surround sound, some parts are not audible, but are still playable.
When I reroute the sound to the TV (any normal non-surround setup) I can hear said guitar parts fine.
No idea how to fix this yet. It also has the same problem with Guitar Hero III.

Also be aware that the drum sections that appear on the Tutorial mode's TV are NOT being played by you. They are played automatically to show you what you should be doing. Only when the screen blows up will you actually be playing anything.
