View Full Version : Using Ion "Brain" With a Real Kit

I have already purchased the Ion Kit, but also play the real drums. I'm considering buying a Yamaha electronic kit for my own playing purposes, but was wondering if I could use it with the Ion Brain to play Rock Band, without going and purchasing a $185 MIDI Rocker. Anyone know? I know I might also have to purchase a Kick Box, but that would be better than paying for the MIDI Rocker.

Yes, you can plug most e-drum pads and cymbals directly into the Ion module and they'll work just fine. Most, but not all. For a good list of what has been tested with the Ion module, look here:
