Problems with drum set for The Beatles: Rock Band (limited edition Wii version)

I received the limited edition version of The Beatles: Rock Band for Christmas (the Wii version). After setting it up and playing with the microphone and guitar, which work just fine, I tried the drum set only to discover that neither the kick pedal nor the yellow pad will register at all. I've also tried it with Lego Rock Band in the freestyle drum mode but got the same result. The green, blue, and red pads all work just fine.

Is there anything I can try on my own to see if the rest of the set will work, or is it pretty much just screwed? Thanks in advance for anything anyone can suggest.

Well, that's funny, I got the same thing for Christmas. But my pads, and foot pedal, work fine. I think your kit is just a bit defective. Does the pad not work at all, or is it just off and stuff?

I tried it again later and managed to get the pedal working, even though I did nothing differently - I thought maybe I had something connected wrong, but that wasn't it. The yellow pad does not register at all - the only way I can hit the yellow notes is to press the corresponding button (B, or whatever it is), which is rather awkward. ;)

I have also found that the drum kit fails to sync properly sometimes - the LEDs just blink on and off indefinitely, and the only way I've found to fix this problem is by messing around with the dongles (unplugging them, plugging them in again, hitting the sync buttons). I think this problem is more a result of my being new to the whole wireless instrument peripheral thing (this is my first Rock Band game), but still, I do have to wonder if these problems are related at all.

i got the beatles rockband for christmas as well and the red pad doesn't work on the drums I called rockband and they said it was a defective drum set if only 1 pad was not working and they are going to send me a replacement set. so i would suggest that you probably got a defaluty drum set as well and to try calling rockband.
