Rock Band Guitar and Guitar Hero 3 Guitar

I recently purchased Guitar Hero 3, and also have Rock Band. I would like to use the GH3 guitar so that my friend and I are able to play base and guitar together. The game is recognizing that something is plugged in, but the game keeps thinking its the microphone. How do I get it to recognize it as another guitar?

It appears to me like you are a fellow PS3 user. In that case, unfortunately, there is NO way we are able to use the Les Paul with Rock Band.

Here is what I read about the issue. Apparently Activision is blocking the use of the GH3 guitar on Rockband.

I received GH I and II for Christmas and was going to get GHIII bundle, but instead want to get Rock Band. I am wondering will the guitar from Rock band work on GHI and II for PS2.

That would be no. I have all the GH's on ps2 and can only use my strat on rb which really pees me off cuz i love the guitar. The GH guitars will all work on rb though.

so are u saying GH guitar's can work on Rockband. if so which one. I have PS3 rockband but am thinking about buying a guitar from Ebay. Rockband guitars are really expensive on Ebay so which Guitar Hero ps2 one will work on the PS3?
