stupid downloading question

Just bought LRB for the Wii. The only other RB title we own is The Beatles. Is LRB standalone - can I download new songs directly into LRB - and if so, how?!?! or do I need to get RB2 first?

Also can the Beatles songs be imported into LRB?

Beatles cannot be imported into any other game.

If you're looking to download new songs for LRB you can go onto the marketplace directly

No extensions to the playlist you already have.
Cannot import or download.

That what was I was starting to think. But then why are there LRB-safe songs listed? Are those for non-Wii systems?

Yes. Xbox and PS3 LRB can play some of the DLC.

Well, that sucks. Guess I'll have to pick up RB2 for me and keep LRB for the kids. Guess I should have done some research, though 1) I wanted the kid-friendly aspect, and 2) why would I ever assume DLC was NOT available?!?!? It is almost 2010 isn't it?

PS3 doesn't have a "music Store" option on the menu screen of LRB?
