Hey I just purchased rock band, and before i did i wanted to see how it looked and some pleople playing it. I typed into youtube, rock band and drums, becuause i prefer drums. To my surprise a lot of the videos were on the foot pedal for drums snapping into two, and not being able to repair it. This has not happened to me, but I am scared, and have been playing very lightly on the drum kit. My question is are other people's breaking frequently, and finally is there something you can do, cause i don't want to have to send back whole game for one foot pedal, and i if it passes warranty and it breaks are screwed big time?

In the event that your foot pedal breaks, you don't have to send in the entire game. You can go to the EA/Harmonix/Rock Band support website and fill out an e-form to get a replacement. If you take the "slower" alternative, you'll receive an empty box which they will expect you to send the foot pedal in, and when they receive it, they'll send you a replacement. If you want the faster method, you'll need access to a credit card. They'll take out a "damage deposit" of $120 and temporarily hold that on your credit card. They'll then send you a replacement foot pedal, again, expecting you to return the damaged one. Once you do that and they receive it, the damage deposit is lifted.

Seriously, how much profit have they made off this game since they;ve had to replace about 1/3 of their sales?

I had been lightly tapping mine since launch and had no problems with the pedal flexing.

After getting through a good chunk of Expert drums I found it much easier to lift my entire leg. After an hour and a half of doing this, my pedal snapped in half at near the base.

I've got a new pedal ordered (I ordered it five days ago, hasn't shipped yet). If it breaks again I'm shelling out the money for one of the wooden replacements.
