My brother came over the other night to do some BWT. I was pretty sure there was a way (a simple way) to add his gametag to BWT so he could get achievements for getting the BUS and VAN, etc...

After some time, all we could figure out was to do a recover gamertag onto my XBOX360 and sign him in to it also.

Seems a complicated way to do something that shouldn't be so hard.

Anyone else manage to do what I'm trying to do? Is there an easier way?

I read that doing a gamertag recover onto another xbox will possibly cause save issues.

thanks

Well, it seems like the issue isn't adding him to BWT but having hus gamertag on your xbox in the first place. In general, if his profile isn't on that xbox he will have to recover it, or transfer via a memory card, to eb able to use it in any game. Adding him to BWT after that should be easy, as I've done it many times.

Recover gamertag is the only way I have figured out how to do this if I'm playing at my buddy's house.

It's annoying and takes freakin 5 minutes for it to process, but it does work.

I have not had any save issues and I've been doing that every week since the game came out.

Hope this helps.

Five minutes? It takes mine like half an hour because of all the achievements and games I've played.

LOL That sux man. I'm only sittin @ about 10k achievement points right now so it's not too lengthy.

On a side note...while your Gamertag is being recovered it's a great time to "warm up" for your performance by slamming a few beers/shots/etc. :)

Just buy a memory card and transfer the profile and game save to that. Not that difficult...

As already stated, get a memory card and transfer. The recovery process is long, and often the service is down - causing you to be in a state where you cannot log into ANY console with your gamertag until you can recover it - problem is that you can't recover it till the service is back up. Longest I've been stuck like that is 2 days. It's a total PITA. I use a card to for my profile and carry it with me to work and back (yes, we have an xbox at work :) )
