RB 1 wii/ guitar & dongle connection problems :(

I have had RB 1 for the wii for about one year. It worked perfectly fine, but the guitar and dongle suddenly don't seem to be connecting! The guitar is flashing the blue light constantly, and is driving me insane! The dongle is flashing it's blue light too! I have tried the following;

- unplugging my wireless router
- connecting the dongle INTO the wii
- disconnecting the wii remotes (by taking out the batteries)
- getting an extension usb cable
- replacing the batteries (allkline)

i dont know what to do anymore :(

Pressing and holding the button on the dongle does nothing?

I called this afternoon ( like 30 minutes ago) to talk to a live customer support. And this is what they said.

go to best buy, target and walmart and ask them

i didnt even buy it there!

i was like wtf is wrong with you ! RB HAS BAD CUSTOMER SUPPORT!

Have you tried using another (a friend's?) dongle and seeing if your guitar connects to that? That way you can narrow it down to being either the guitar or dongle as faulty.

well, the thing is i dont think anything is broken! like today, it connected for about 1 song, but started to blink again!

Question. Is the Dongle you have White or Black? I was wondering if the color had anything to do with date of production, did it come from the junk pile etc. The one I got with Beatles Rockband (Wii) is black. The light has never come on and I have tried everything I could find in these forms short of trying the guitar at a friends. Shy of that I can only assume the dongle is dead. This christmas gift for my son pisses me off. Sounds fruitless to bother with Harmonix. Does anyone with a history with these no anything about the color. The drum and mic work fine (wired).

Mine is white, it's the European Rock Band Value Edition bundle and when mine breaks I just twist around the power cable or open it up and fiddle around with the position of it till it works.

hello everybody i have a serius problem with my RB2, I got it for xmas, but the thing is i just receive the instruments, and i can not sync those with the nintendo wii, i was looking on internet, and i found that you need the drum set and wireless guitar dongle, and the usb hub, i tried on amazon but nothing, i can find the dongle just the usb hub, if i buy the usb hub are the instruments going to work??
