oops i just realized i put an instrumental on there so i will replace funk 49 with Fame by David Bowie. That sounds like fun.

Great list. I have a few suggestions. Most of them are just keeping the band, just changing to a different song I prefer.

Replace the Goldfinger song Mable with Superman (My favorite goldfinger song).

Replace Faith No More - Epic With Midlife Crisis

Replace I want a New Drug with Hip to be Square (Core instruments featured more)

Replace Soad with another band.

Replace Aerosmith with another band.

Also speaking of John Cougar Mellencamp, he was on Colbert Report a few days ago.

I agree I was just catering to the masses for the most part on that one. I would pick Black Dog over Stairway any day.
