Is my guitar broken??

This might of been posted before so if it has...sorry.
I got rock band for Ps3 on christmas and i love it but my guitar, it works but you have to push the strum bar down hard in order for it to process it, and that results in me missing notes because i'm so used to the stum bar going down easily when you press it down. So is my guitar broken, or is it just like that?

Yes, get that order in for your replacement guitar.
The guitar should register with a very light strum. If you are having to push it all the way down and/or hard, it is not working correctly.
