gretsch disconnection

so I can't find help with this anywhere. I recently bought the gretsch guitar controller and for no obvious reason it keeps disconnecting mid-song. I've tried replaceing the batteries, re-syncing the controller and all that good stuff. I have never had this problem with my other wireless controllers, and its getting incredibly annoying.

If it helps i'm on the 360 and typically playing RB@ (at least when the disconnection keeps happening)
