I was going for an fc of Waking the Demon on drums last night and nothing was working out the way it should have. I should have only missed at that 2nd tom roll but for some reason I kept missing on the first one because my sticks would hit the rim of my Ion pads which didn't really bother me the fist 10-15 times it happened but after that I slowly started to get more and more frustrated. I am bipolar so I do get uncontrollably mad sometimes and I ended up punching my pads a few times and found out that Ion pads really are indestructible because they still work like new. Eventually I got so furious that I just threw my sticks, one of them went towards my $700 42" HDTV but luckily it missed and the other I regret throwing because I threw it at my mom when she wouldn't leave me alone. So the moral of the story is Bipolar teenager+Rock Band=Bruised knuckles from punching Ion pads and throwing a drum stick at your mom.

I bought them myself so if I punch them or break them it's my loss and nobody else's. And I have almost no control over what happens when I get mad, bipolar people, including me, are known for getting so mad that they black out and don't realize what they are doing until after they have done it.

That's fine, I know a few bipolar people. However, you seem to be glorifying it.

Well maybe if you didn't sound like you were so proud of the whole ordeal people would be more sympathetic.

Bi-polar or not, did you honestly think that posting something like that on an internet forum would get you a pat on the back?

Sounds to me like he was just trying to share something personal about himself and everyone's unloading on him.
Again,
Personal info does not belong on interwebs!

leave him alone. jeeze. dont mock the mentally ill. they are mentally ill. no difference than making fun of someone with cancer. he didnt ask for anything. youre putting words in his mouth now. whether or not hes being a douche about his illness or not, its still not acceptable to mock him for it.

I wasn't trying to glorify being bipolar or sound like I was proud of the ordeal, I was in fact just trying to share something about myself and share a recent experience that I had. Nothing more nothing less, I wasn't expecting nor do I want any sympathy. I am sorry if I came off sounding like a total jackass, I'm new to the whole forum thing.

Yep. Thats what I see.
He also has an excuse for being angry regardless if its a bi-polar rage or if hes just pissed.

Glad to see that everyone responding has been as mature as they think everyone else should be.
For future reference I'd recommend not punching drums. Punching instruments never works out well.
