Does the 360 even find the network? This is wireless right?

What type of error messages are you getting?
No one can help you when you are being this vague.

Does your security have MAC filtering? Better question is it enabled?

Actually you'd need to find the routers IP to check.
No password is needed right? No WEP or WPA code?

Well did you try xbox.com? They're surprisingly helpful at times.
I have had these issues before but never with a wired network.

My expertise really lies with wireless.
It sounds like it can find the network but not the internet. I'm no good with advice. More hands on, let me at, kind of problem solver.

MAC filtering and WEP are for wireless. They are not used on Wired connections.

Do you have a computer connected to the router? If so log in to windows and do the following:
Click Start
Click Run
Enter the word CMD and click the OK button - you will see a black (dos) box.
type ipconfig and press enter (on the keyboard) - you should see something like this:
Windows IP Configuration
Ethernet adapter OnBoard:
Connection-specific DNS Suffix . : iface
IP Address. . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.29
Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.1
The Default Gateway is the address of your router.
If you open a web browser and enter the Default Gateway address like this:
http://192.168.1.1 (use your gateway address, it might be the same)
You will see your router web interface so you can then check the config.

Go to network connections.........(under settings) double click on local connection and get the ip address, gateway etc. and then input these manually into your xbox. this is me assuming you also have a pc hooked up to the same router

Well using the DOS thing,it wouldnt work, page wasn't found. And in network connections, I can only find the IP and Subnet mask

Reaper, you need to be more specific.
What happened when you typed ipconfig? what did you see (exactly)
