1. Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal
2. Buckethead
3. Jimmy Page

I still like Slash, but I don't care for his stuff from Snakepit and I don't care for the songs revealed so far off his new solo album. So far I only like his guitar playing with GNR & VR.

A personal favorite. Maybe not the best or well known and often forgotten about, even when discussing 80's rock. His guitar lick's and solo's are as important to the success of Pat Benatar's music as her vocals.

Hendrix is better than Page. fact.

Sure, i won't deny that Hendrix has more technical ability, but I still think that Page is the superior musician, and a more versatile guitarist. Guitar's not all about shredding.

Hendrix was amazing, but I 'll still take Page... and the thread is titled "favorite guitarist" anyway.

He's good, but his material is very generic and overdone. He adds nothing new with his style.

I did take that into consideration, but he did write two of my top 50 most played songs on my iPod, so he definitely gets credit there.
